The Business Bridge

Impact Assessment

As a result of this encouraging early data, Business Bridge has been offered a unique opportunity to partner with a research team from London Business School, the World Bank and Innovations for Poverty Action (based at the University of Cape Town) in an 18 month randomised control trial that will examine the impact of managerial capital on South African entrepreneurs.  This ambitious study aims to shed light on the value of investing in the skill sets of SME owners as a means of stimulating economic growth, with implications for both national and international policy and resource allocation.  The study means that Business Bridge is already expanding its course portfolio to include a second course on managing money and scaling up to reach 1,000 South African entrepreneurs over the next 12 months.
